::5 star prices 3 star service. While I only speak english i believe more effort could have been made in the service area. I had to wave twice at the waiter to get service. First, may i order food, and do you have a wine list. Then wave again to order wine.... which the bottle I wanted sold out... so the waiter stood there in complete silence as i hastily chose another wine. Any advice would have been nice as i am reading a spanish menu. The random wine i chose was good. Phew. We got bread on the table (which is an additional charge and we were not asked if we wanted it) and an assortment of spreads with no explanation at all as to what the flavours where. Lucky my taste buds work. I felt like Gordon Ramsey doing a blind food taste. Steak arrived, looks great. Steak knives lazily thrown onto table.... after they stopped spinning (exagerated but still poor service) the food was great. Cooked well and very tasty. Good sized portions, but not on the cheap side.

::The restaurant is huge, nicely decorated inside, somewhat lacking the cover of the terrace, which is not that good for a grilled meat. The food is ok, but not extraordinary. But the bill is! I was not happy with 1 shared starter, 2 half portion meat dishes and 2 sides, plus 2 g&t, 2 bottles of water and a bottle of wine: 134000 pesos plus service.

::Very good food. My steak was perfectly cooked. The side dishes were plentiful and the service was optimal. It is a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the area but well worth it. The views and setting are a plus.
The Connaissir
::Argentina is automatically associated with the best steaks. That's why I was looking for an excellent steak restaurant in Buenos Aires and came across Cabana Las Lilas. The service was very friendly and accommodating, but sadly the steak was not really exceptional. From the ordered medium-rare the steak was far away and the wrong side dish was delivered. The price-performance ratio is completely out of this category. Paying for 1 steak with two sides, 1 mineral and 1 beer more than 80 euros. It was unfortunately a culinary flop, but the location of the restaurant and the great service ends in three stars.

::Tried a few different things and everything was amazing! The Ribeye is melt in your mouth good! The side dishes are big enough to split for 2 people. The truffle mashed potatoes and buttered corn were super tasty.
