  Surprising! My wife and I took the End of The World Train and while waiting for our train ride back decided to start walking along a nearby hiking trail. We were surprised to find a fairly short hike away we arrived at the End of The World Post office! Super cute & quirky. Stickers posted all over the outside from past travelers. The post office is fully functional and you can buy and send a postcard to anyone in the world in the yellow mailbox in front. Inside is warm & cozy, heated with wood fire furnace. The staff are super friendly and you can have your passport stamped for a small fee or buy little trinkets from the "end of the world". The views right next to the post office are beautiful as well. If you're not taking the End of The World Train there's a parking lot right in front of the post office so you can hire a taxi or drive yourself. Definitely worth stopping by while in Ushuaia!   The post office was supposed to close at 2:30pm on Sunday and when we arrived at 2:15, it was all shut up and closed with nobody in sight. This was a huge shame as it was one of the main reasons of visiting the park to get our passports stamped. Plenty of people were still arriving at this point so I'm not sure why the staff all decided to leave and clock off early. If you arrive after the office is closed, there is a red post box outside, so as long as you have a stamp and a postcard (both can be bought from the shops in Ushuaia) you can still post things. It's basically a shed on a small pier. Very pretty though. Wish I could bump off early, but hey ho! Se suponía que la oficina de correos cerraría a las 2:30 pm el domingo y cuando llegamos a las 2:15, todo estaba cerrado y cerrado sin nadie a la vista. Esto fue una gran pena, ya que fue una de las principales razones de visitar el parque para sellar nuestros pasaportes. Mucha gente todavía estaba llegando a este punto, así que no estoy seguro de por qué todo el personal decidió irse y salir temprano. Si llega después de que la oficina está cerrada, hay un buzón rojo afuera, por lo que siempre que tenga un sello y una tarjeta postal (ambos se pueden comprar en las tiendas de Ushuaia) aún puede publicar cosas. Básicamente es un cobertizo en un pequeño muelle. Muy bonita sin embargo. Ojalá pudiera salir temprano, pero ¡hola!

  What a great place in the Earth. The owner opened this Post Office, over 20y ago. Only to meet Carlos, is worth going there. And the feeling of being in the last Post office on Earth is magical. You're surrounded by lakes and trails from the park. I don't no how it is in the winter, and is such a great place to stop by in the summer time.
