::A delightful hidden gem in Merlo which I've frequented twice. This time the service was dreadfully slow. It wasn't until the chef came out to the front of house that the waiters actually started moving. But even then we couldn't get their attention. The prices for lunch are high given the small size of the portions but at least they are tasty. No debit or credit cards are accepted. So it's either cash or, rather bizarrely, bank transfer. Cell coverage is poor and the wifi doesn't work. So you might as well leave your phone at home. My advice is to avoid lunch and visit for merienda (coffee & cakes). In summary, a beautiful place that's a bit hit or miss from time to time.

::Gorgeous restaurant near the hills. Family place with very polite and nice staff. The beers are good but the gin de la casa was outstanding! Please don't go without trying any of the cakes they have. They are delicious!

::Excellent attention from the waiters, receptive, fast and decisive. The display of the menu is limited but it does not disappoint the most demanding palates. Hot dishes, with flavor and body. The interior of the house is beautiful, a couple of details are missing in the bathroom but it really is a great place to recommend.

::All that's good! The kitchen is the star of the place, an exquisite and original menu. Excellent quality. Added to this is ten points attention and a beautiful natural environment. I would only improve the quality of the coffee... but the rest was so positive that I still give them 5 stars

::Maybe you think... "another very cozy, Vila Merlo "tea house", but for my surprise is a much more, i went there thinking to try maybe a cake. But they have a no so large menu, but have sweets dishes and salty dishes to choose. We tried to order a mix of salami, cheeses and others, to marriage with beers, but they don't had it... For our lucky, we must change our order for a small pizza (4 slices) and a burger, they called Pepe's burger. Without so much expectations, they bring a common prosciutto pizza, but the crust have a different amazing flavour of "pasta madre" (sourdough), and with homemade ingredients madeing a different flavour pizza. Having tried it then bring the burguer with a very nice "3 levels cooked" potatoes, talking about burguers, the burguer maded with a "lot of love" using fresh products, for me something different I have try until now, and those amazing potatoes, for me are so good than counts like a main dish by itself but are a few. The beer was great and it came from locals brewers. To have a overall rating, we asked for the best cake and they offer us the 'marquise cake', if you like sweet just try it... for me, the perfect sweet level. The place was a total surprise, is very cozy, a great atmosphere, a lot of room, too far from the city centre, to feel nature side, but near to have a good access and nice decoration too. I willing to return in the future.
