  This little shack makes several of the best empanadas I’ve eaten in all of Argentina! And I’ve recently eaten at three of the best in Buenos Aires, plus Mendoza, San Carlos de Bariloche, and the pizza restaurant a few doors down from this one. I can’t figure out why the other pizza restaurant on this street has so many good reviews when the empanadas here are so much more flavorful! They have 10 flavors. My favorite was cebolla y queso (onion and cheese). I also had jamon y queso (ham and cheese), carne (beef, which also had some chunks of perhaps feta or haloumi cheese in it), pollo (chicken and onion— so moist), caprese (tomato, mozzarella, and basil), and Roquefort (blue cheese). I like that each flavor is a different shape. They have a grassy, uncovered sitting area in the backyard or order takeout. Cash only.
