::The coffee at Cafe Martinez is bad but this is true almost everywhere in Argentina so no expectations and no surprises there. However, the coffee sold to be grained and prepared at home comes in four different types. I tried three of them. Italiano Tostado was OK but the other two (which I can't remember their names) were just drinkable for one and truly horrible for the other (it was so acidic. I never had such a bad coffee in my life and i have been everywhere). Worst of all their weighing machine hasn't been working for at least the last 8 days (I checked twice) and so they don't sell coffee by the weight probably for the rest of August or beyond? (typical chaos and disorganization as is common in Argentina. Why can't Argentinians ever get their act together is an enigma but the state of their currency and economy gives you clues as to the state of affairs). Another factor is the cafe never gets any sunlight. It is on the 'wrong' side of the road for sunlight and because the tallest building in Santiago Del Estero overshadows it you will never get even a single sun ray sitting outside no matter how sunny it is. Why on earth would they pick this location is beyond me but then again I suppose if I tried to understand the logic of how things work here I would have nothing else to think about and that would make life kind of boring...
