::2022 I went to Milonga de Lucy, Yira yira. The key is to arrive late because the best dancing is at the end. The air conditioning is at its best. Bravo! I had fantastic dancing last night starting around midnight until the end. Thank you very much. 2019 The place has been renovated and is now called "Nuevo Gricel". I tried to go on a Monday to milonga El Milongo without reservation. I arrived at 10pm. The place was packed and I had to wait half an hour in the new reception area which has New windows into the room. Eventually I got a seat. The orchestra started around 0h30 and was great. Old Review. You need to separate the location from the events. I gave the location 2 stars because of the poor state of the wooden floor and the bathrooms. They seem to have repaired the roof because at one time one had to dance around buckets collecting water dripping from the roof. The location is safe and I recommend bus 101 with a bus stop located 1 block up or down on La Rioja. The bus runs all night at least 3 per hour. Seating guaranteed with the first row overlooking the street as in a movie. LOL.

::An excellent place to go dancing with friends. There's lots of good music, great food, and friendly people. The owners are awesome and go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome.

::A tango classic. And of the best places to dance and learn to dance tango in Buenos Aires.

::The tradition and the buenos aires soul unfortunately not supported by an adequate maintenance. The floor is impossible for dancers. What a pity!!
