  La Moderna es un lugar familiar con muy buen trato. Los dueños son excepcionalmente cordiales. Las empanadas son excelentes. Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda. Great Local Pastry Shop La Moderna is a great pastry/bakery where you can have some great coffee and something light to eat. Their empanadas, the beef, chicken and spinach are OUTSTANDING. It is managed by 2 brothers and their Mother, they are extremely friendly and helpful. If you are a visitor, ask them for recommendations and directions to any local or Buenos Aires area attractions. NOTE: The empanadas arrive around 11:30 AM - this is the only drawback, if you want them early.
