PPOLEXAX
::The so-called conquest of America was the exploration, invasion, occupation and colonization of part of the American continent by some European powers, of which the main ones were Spain, Portugal, England, France and Holland, in which they enslaved and colonized some peoples in uneven cultural development that inhabited the continent, from hunter-gatherers such as the Pericúes, Guaycuras, Cochimíes to more advanced cultures, among which the Inca, the Mexica, and the Maya stood out. The colonial governments organized the economies of the American societies under their rule within a world trade system, in order to provide precious metals and raw materials to the economies of Europe, until they formed mercantilism, as a policy for the development of the European nations. The conquest of America imposed servile labor systems for the indigenous people, and an extended slave regime (typical of American, Asian, European and African civilizations), which fed on the kidnapping of people in Africa and their forced transfer to America. Culturally, the conquest of America imposed the characteristics of European civilization, imposing the use of European languages, mainly Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, spreading writing and the mercantile economy, converting the population to Christianity. European and American cultures mutually adopted the technical advances developed by each, during thousands of years of development of their respective civilizations and cultures. The main consequences were the disappearance of the political and organizational systems of the Amerindian peoples, as well as the definitive loss of their sovereignty. Disappearance of many native languages and almost extinction of others. The Indo-American languages went into the background and the European languages were definitively imposed. Destruction of the cultural works of the native peoples (texts, works of art, religions, temples, cities, handicrafts, monuments, roads, memory, etc.). Inferiorization and contempt for the original cultures as well as for human nature by being reduced to the category of "entrusted" submitted to European colonizers, in the case of the Spanish conquest.
