  Note: This is Santa Maria Hostel now, not Found. I guess the bar downstairs is still called Found? The refrigerator is broken, and stinks to high heaven as a result, with a lot of rotten food inside. Yet they served the milk at breakfast anyway. Amazing! I'd already put it on my milk and took a spoonful before I realized it was spoiled. The worst though: I witnessed two guests from the States forcefully without their permission moved from the dorms to a tiny cubbyhole over the noisy common area. The maid packed up all their belongs and moved them. Why? They'd given their beds to new guests. The cubbyhole is hot, with no lighting, and no room to actually stand up. It has a sofa, no pillows, no blankets, and nowhere to store valuable belongings securely. They were furious and when they left, refused to pay, understandably. They told me they were put there without their permisson and without so much as an apology from the owner, María Noelia Goitía, who is rude and unaccomodating. Two other sets of guests were similarly treated, showing up for reservations from Hostel World to find that there weren't enough beds. Reception would go unattended for hours and guests who needed to check out and pay by credit card would either have to wait an hour or more for the other owner, Dominic Instone, to show up to process their credit cards, or simply leave to catch their flights. Also, this is a ridiculously unsecure hostel, with all guests given the same code to go in and out, and recepionists unable to see who is coming in before they are already inside! Having been a witness myself to intruders forcing their way into Buenos Aires hostels along with legitimate guests, a similar crime here is just a matter of time. Finally, as a negative review on Hostel World states, don't expect to get much sleep as the hostel is located on a very busy street with a disco blaring cumbia in the courtyard until 7am, another disco immediately next door rumbling the walls and floors and bar downstairs. Guests are also allowed to play their own music in the common area until whenever they decide to go to sleep, which could be 8am. The facilities are a bit ramshackle and unmaintained, with handles falling off doors, holes in doors, bathrooms lacking toilet paper, no matches in the kitchen, no hot water, and a smell of gas all the time. With some attention to details, some competence, and some basic human decency, this hostel could be something, but as it is now, there are dozens and dozens of better hostels in Palermo, with much nicer owners. Avoid.
