  If you are looking to purchase an apartment to rent it freely, this is not a good place to invest. The rental company makes you sign a 4 year contract without the option to cancel, even if you want to sell the property. The new buyer must stay within the rental program to be able to close. Good deal for the rental company blind deal for the owners.

  Let me first say that I too was impressed with the fancy pictures showing the Hollywood Palermo rooms. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 of the 10 nights during our honeymoon in Argentina. I travel quite a bit and have stayed in a lot of different hotels. During the other 7 nights of our stay in Argentina we were treated exceptionally well by every other hotel we stayed at. The same cannot be said about Hollywood Palermo. The incompetent staff was merely capable of buzzing the door. We would typically get a blank stare from nearly every “front desk” person (they rotate daily) when we asked where to eat, or rent a bike, etc. After explaining that we were on our honeymoon and that we would like a nice quiet private room they elected to put us in a room overlooking the railroad tracks. We are normally troopers but the cheap single pane windows did not mute any of the noise throughout the night and in the morning. Please note that this was a non-tourist season in the beginning of May where hotel occupancy in Palermo was running about 50%. Also, note that there are many fantastic options for boutique hotels in Buenos Aires and the Palermo neighborhood with fantastic service and much nicer facilities for the same price or cheaper. The list is long but the AC did not work properly, the pool was run down and the Jacuzzi did not even have water in it, half of the gym’s equipment was broken and the hotel was generally run down. Every time asked a question of a hotel attendant we got the distinct impression that they felt “put out”. We paid approximately $140 a night for what was the worst hotel we stayed it in our 10 nights. At the end of the day we want good service and value in a hotel and I believe this hotel offered neither.
